Colin and Kristine Poole

Colin and Kristine Poole

Colin Poole was born in Washington, D.C. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Connecticut College with a concentration in metal sculpture. Seeking out new means of expression, he explored various media before discovering his love of oil painting. Self-taught as a painter, his works have been shown around the world and are included in over 350 private art collections.

Kristine Poole was born in Novi, Michigan. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Michigan University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a concentration in ceramic sculpture. After apprenticing with master potter John Glick, she learned the bronze casting process by working at the Shidoni Foundry in Santa Fe, NM. Her current bodies of work include sculptures in both fired clay and bronze which have been widely exhibited and collected.

Colin and Krisine both moved to Santa Fe at the same time 20 years ago, but their paths did not cross until 2008 when he asked her to dance a Tango. They were married in Greece the following summer and began combining their artistic talents the same year. Their collaborative sculptures have been included in numerous national juried and group exhibitions, were featured in the “Wall Street Journal” and have been included in assorted international publications including “Spectrum; The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art,” “Infected by Art” and “The International ARC Salon Catalogue,” as well as “CAST: Art and Objects Made Using Humanity’s Most Transformational Process,” and “500 Figures in Clay,” among others.
