“This painting was heavily influenced by the works of the English Pre-Raphaelite painter, John William Waterhouse. I wanted to lean into a sense of mystery, not spelling out any particular narrative in an obvious way. The viewers of the work are able to create their own interpretations of what may be about to happen.”
